The World Is Yours - Take It

I am a regular guy who wants to live a great life. As I have looked around and seen the successful people in this world I have learned a lot from them. I have learned that we are much more than we at first believe or understand. If we merely understand who we are we will realize the world is inherently ours for the taking. Take a moment, step outside the ideas you have built in your mind up to this point in your life and consider the realities of the person you are:

Top of the Food Chain

You are the top of the food chain. Compare the overall power of a human being to the power of any other creature in the biological system in which we live. Nothing can compare. Great white sharks have incredible power. When we think of them we are in awe of their strength and are struck with the idea that every one of them can succeed in what they set their mind to because of what they are. Who would question that a great white shark can successfully attack another fish? It does not matter which great white shark we choose, they all will succeed. If you will not make distinctions between different individual great white sharks - all of them will succeed - why would you make distinctions between yourself and any other great human being? You are the top of the food chain.

Human beings have gained control of the system we live in, have significant power in mind and body, have vast resources from which to draw and you are one of them. You have the same power within you that existed in any great inventor, leader, philosopher, mathematician, engineer, entrepreneur, poet or any other person that has lived before you. If it has been done before, you could have done it. If it will happen, you can create it. Believe it.

Made of Energy and Power

At your core, you are made of energy. A study of quantum physics and particles shows that we are all made of energy. Your body which to you feels solid is primarily forces and fields and these forces and fields react and interact with each other. You move your hand through the air and it pushes other forces and fields. You touch a table or water and the forces react and interact. You touch another person and the forces interact. You are part of a universe that from the core is connected. Energy is transmitted in all of your actions.

You cannot enter a room without bringing your energy with you. It is felt by every other person and living creature. There are bonds that tie you to every thing around you. Have you ever noticed the feeling of a room can change when a person enters? You can literally feel their presence. The power of a person does not have to be connected to their height, strength, beauty or any other physical quality. It can be the confidence they exude. The energy of confidence can hit like lightning. No doubt you have been in a room and experienced this: there is an uncomfortable feeling and no one really knows what to say or do, then a confident person enters with enthusiasm and power, the ice breaks and everyone loosens up and enjoys each other. The energy of that one confident person released into the room and charged the energy in everyone else. These experiences are so common it is almost cliché. In almost every movie at the most difficult time, one person rallies the troops and they go from saddened and disheartened to excited and enthusiastic. William Wallace in "Braveheart" rallied the Scottish soldiers before their first major battle as many of them were intimidated by the English army and leaving the field. The Scottish soldiers pulled in his energy and gained a new passion to follow him into battle. The reality of the world and system we live in is that one person can have that power. You can choose to be that person. You are made of energy and you can harness it.

Energy in Your Thoughts

Your thoughts are also strongly connected with energy. Your mind uses electrical impulses to send and receive information. When electrical forces are used, energy is emitted which affects the forces and fields around it. You constantly affect the universe around you. When it is said that there is power in thought it is very literal. You have the ability to harness that power or energy and channel it toward your wants and desires. Is it any wonder that positive thinking is emphasized so regularly by successful people? They have learned to channel the energy inherent in this system to work for them and to give them what they want.

Unlimited Mind

What limits are there on the human mind? Voltaire said, "No problem can stand the assault of sustained thinking" and I agree. Look at the history of the human race and you will see hundreds of examples of incredible thought followed by actions and creation. Your capacity to create, develop and comprehend is as limitless as the universe itself.

Power of Passion and Emotion

Passion and emotion are central in your very being. As you were being formed in your mother's womb, your nervous system in its infancy, your heart was created before your mind. Your heart actually sent the signals to create your brain. Interesting order, isn't it? Your heart and your brain are connected and even as an adult your heart sends more signals to your brain than your brain sends to your heart. Studies have shown that as you calm and control your heart it allows your mind to function more clearly and calmly. Meditation, relaxation, breathing techniques, prayer, and many other activities calm and control your heart, which in turn allows the electrical impulses to flow more freely through your brain and empower you to gain stronger control of your energy. Passion and emotion can enable you to perform at your best as you control them. If you are unable to control them and harness them in your favor, they can lead to your complete defeat. In sports this is very clear. On the professional level the athletes are all in top physical condition and on any given day one team can beat another. Often the winning determination is the emotion of the opposing sides. For this reason, one great play can turn the tide of a football game and give the losing team the power to come back and take the game. A hit to the confidence of a tennis player can send him reeling and cause him to lose the match. Coaches on these levels focus so much on emotion and channeling your feelings into the game because they are acutely aware of the implications. Your emotions and passions channeled in your favor lead to success.

Power to Survive

You are made of energy and have power and connections to everything around you but there is still much more-life has the power to survive and create a way to continue surviving. When put in a corner, you are capable of much more than you would ever believe possible. Think of a cornered lion fighting for its life. The power is immense. The great military strategist Sun Tsu wrote "Do not interfere with an army that is returning home" and "When you surround an army, leave an outlet free. Do not press a desperate foe." He understood that people fighting for their lives with no way out have a power that is astonishing. If you must fight for your life, you will fight with such passion and fury that it is insane to go against you. This force can be harnessed and used for your benefit. You can position yourself where you will do what it takes to get what you want.

You Control the Most Powerful Organism in Existence

Do not limit yourself. The limits to your life are primarily the limits you assign to yourself. You have been fortunate to take control of the most powerful organism in existence and it will obey without fail. If you empower your body and unleash its creative powers your life will be phenomenal. You decide the actions your body will take. Your actions determine your life. You have the control. The world is yours - take it.
