The Red Oak of Iowa Chamber and Industry Association

The Red Oak of Iowa Chamber and Industry Association have a number of committees such as Budget and Finance Committee, Membership committee, Business Promotions Committee, Contact Committee, Marketing Committee, Tourism Committee, Housing Committee, Real Estate Committee, Pride in Red Oak Committee and Rural Commerce Committee.

A standing committee of the association is the Budget and Finance Committee. This committee reviews, recommends and approves significant Association financial policies. It also reviews and recommends to the Board of Directors the Association budget for the upcoming fiscal year. They determine the requirements for the upcoming fiscal year and recommend the appointment of a new independent Auditor for the association. It also reviews the Association’s financial statements and reports from the auditor. This committee consists of five members of the Association. The Board appoints the committee membership.

The Membership Committee is also a standing committee of the Association. This committee is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase and sustain membership in the Association. A written statement of value associated with the association membership is developed by the committee. They get the non-members to join the association by activating the current members. They also facilitate communication between ROCIA leadership and members by identifying strategies. They increase the collaboration between association members by promoting various strategies. The association members are proactively invited to join the committee. The committee consists of at least four members of the association among which one member is the member of the Board. The Chair is appointed annually by the President of the Association.
